I hope you all are having a wonderful day! 🌸
I’m sure most of you know about the ultimate beauty guru Huda Kattan. She created her own brand called Huda Beauty it was launched in 2013. She has created an empire out of her brand and now she not only offers lashes but various beauty products like liquid lipsticks, foundations, eyeshadows and you name it!
Just recently, Huda Beauty launched a REMASTERED version of their Rose Gold Palette which is an upgrade to her very first eyeshadow palette. Although I haven’t got my hands on her first eyeshadow palette, I believe it was as fabulous as this one is.
As soon as I saw this palette, I told myself that I need it in my life no matter what! I mean, I didn’t care about the price anymore as I was absolutely blown away by the gorgeous shades of the palette! I can create gazillions of looks with this palette!! Enough about me raving on and on about it, let’s get to reviewing!
Let’s all take a moment to appreciate this wonderful packaging! I love it so much! The palette has a picture of Huda herself surrounded by different colors of roses with her brand logo embossed on the case. The colors that she used on the packaging are in sync with the eyeshadow color range in the palette. The package gives out reflection in certain angles – How cool is that! The best part is that it comes with a huge mirror which I think is so necessary for eyeshadow palettes!
The palette comes with 18 shadows. The product is priced at $65 for 0.59 oz. worth of product. Yes, it’s on the pricier side of the palette spectrum as compared to other eyeshadow palette brands. However, the color range and the formula of this palette are phenomenal! I bet you will always see yourself reaching for this palette to create your looks!
*Secret* I used this palette for my Mehndi Look (My Big Day)! Besides, the colors are very pigmented and the palette will last you for a long time!
Shade Range and Swatches:
This palette has a total of 18 eyeshadows!
9 x Matte Eyeshadows: Demure, Doll Face, Risqué, Black Truffle, Suede, Coco, Maneater, Henna, Sandalwood
9 x Melted Metal Eyeshadows: Bubbly, Moon Dust, Blessed, 24K, Pink Diamond, Rose Gold, Trust Fund, Fling, Dubai
Matte Eyeshadow: They are very pigmented and super easy to blend and build up! These shadows feel almost velvety as they are finely milled and it doesn’t contain any talc. They don’t swatch as good on the arms as compared to when applied on the eyes. The reason could be because they don’t contain any talc. Try it out on your eyelids and you will be surprised how well they blend upon application on the eyelids!
Melted Metal Textured Eyeshadows: The foil formula gives out a very radiant look! These babies are so creamy and pigmented. You can wear them just by itself or you can layer it on for a glittery shine. These metallic eyeshadows can be worn as a brow bone highlighter or an inner eye corner highlight! What makes it so impressive is the high-shine and the liquid-like glow to it.
*Tip* To pick up the foil formula eyeshadows I would suggest you spray some setting spray on your brush and then apply it onto your eyelid!
Pros and Cons:
- Huge palette mirror
- Eyeshadow colors suit every skin tone
- Eyeshadows are highly-pigmented
- Textured shadows can be picked up using a brush and a makeup setting spray
- Metallic eyeshadows such as ‘BUBBLY’ can be used as a highlighter
- Last through the day without retouch
- The black eyeshadow ‘BLACK TRUFFLE’ isn’t dark enough to create a dramatic winged liner.
- Few fall outs
I absolutely love all the shades in the Huda Beauty Rose Gold Remastered Palette. The product quality is amazing! It’s a bit pricey but it’s worth it. This product allows me to create various kinds of looks from natural eye look, smoky eye look to glam eye look. This is palette is a fantastic go-to palette for those who loves some shimmer on the lid too.
Mattes: Demure, Maneater and Henna
Melted Metals: Bubbly, 24k and Pink Diamond
